COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police arrested a suspect Tuesday in an August armed robbery of a Columbia restaurant.
Officers arrested Jameson J. Harris, 26, on Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of Hospital Drive near University Hospital, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. Harris was arrested in connection with a report of a robbery at a Subway in the 2700 block of Paris Road on Aug. 28, police say.
Harris left the robbery scene before officers could get there, according to the release. A witness reportedly told police that Harris had a gun and ran after he robbed the store of cash.
Harris also had warrants for third-degree assault and driving with a revoked license, police say.
Prosecutors charged Harris last month with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. He remained jailed Thursday without bond. An initial hearing in his case was set for Thursday afternoon.
