Registered sex offender sent to federal prison for child pornography

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Versailles man was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in federal prison without parole for possession of child pornography.

Mylon D. Addis, 52, has convictions on his record for molesting a 10-year-old and a previous federal conviction for child pornography, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Addis pleaded guilty last December to one count of receiving child pornography. He was arrested after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted authorities that he had uploaded an illegal video, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Investigators found child pornography on a laptop, a tablet, a hard drive and a flash drive after searching Addis' home, according to a news release.
