Centralia man charged with more child porn-related crimes
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Centralia man charged last week with trying to get explicit photos of a girl was charged Tuesday with possessing and promoting child pornography.
David L. Hoppock, 33, was charged earlier this month with attempted child enticement for allegedly sending sexual photos to a young girl and asking her to send photos back. On Tuesday, prosecutors added a charge of child porn possession and two charges of promoting child pornography based on evidence found in the initial investigation.
Investigators found videos on Hoppock's cellphone after they seized it in relation to his arrest earlier this month, according to a probable cause statement. They also connected Hoppock to messages sent last year on the Kik app that contained child pornography, the statement says.
Hoppock was in the Boone County Jail on Wednesday with no bond. An initial appearance in his newest case is set for Thursday morning.
