Fulton man faces multiple counts of rape after an 11-month investigation
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Fulton man is facing rape charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in 2017 and 2018.
A Callaway County prosecutor has charged Alex Armstrong with two counts of first-degree rape or attempted rape - victim is less than 12 years of age.
On Sept. 6, 2021, a father brought in his 14-year-old daughter to speak with Callaway County Sheriff's investigators.
The victim told investigators that in 2017 she was in the Tarzan play with Armstrong. When she was returning home with Armstrong, he parked on the side of a road and allegedly raped her on the side of the road.
In 2018, the victim and Armstrong were both in the Lion King play. The victim told investigators that Armstrong would rape her on the way home from play practice.
According to court documents, Armstrong was taken into custody by the Juvenile Office after attempting to rape a 5-year-old girl when he was 12 years old and allegedly tried to digitally penetrate another female he was in a play with.
Armstrong is being held without bond at the Callaway County Jail. Shane Farrow is listed as Armstrong's defense attorney.
Armstrong's initial court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday.
