Man charged in deadly 2017 shooting returned to Randolph County
RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Moberly man accused in a deadly 2017 shooting is back in Randolph County.
Investigators served John F. Tucker, 57, with a warrant on Monday, after he was arrested last week in Macon County, Illinois, according to public court records. The Randolph County Jail lists Tucker as an inmate at the facility.
The Randolph County Prosecutor's Office charged Tucker with first-degree murder last month in the death of Christopher James. Tucker is accused of shooting and killing James at the Sherwood Glen Apartment Complex on Feb. 2, 2017.
Investigators said Tucker and James' girlfriend both lived at the apartment complex. The woman was reportedly involved in relationships with both men.
Tucker shot James after he tried to visit the woman, according to court documents.
Last week, the Moberly Police Department announced Tucker was arrested in Illinois with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Tucker is scheduled to be arraigned in Randolph County at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
