The man accused of calling in a bomb threat to a Columbia daycare last week remained Tuesday in custody in Kansas, though he has now been ordered to return to Boone County to be tried.

Alexzander S. Green, 25, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was arrested last week in Atchison, Kansas, on charges of making a terrorist threat, harassment and child endangerment after a bomb scare at KinderCare in west Columbia. Nearly 100 caretakers and children had to be evacuated from the daycare while police investigated.

Authorities never found a bomb and no one was injured.

A Boone County judge ordered Green extradited from Kansas on Monday. Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie said Tuesday morning that Green was still in jail there but had waived extradition. Laurie and a spokesman for the Boone County Sheriff's Office declined to go into detail about how Green will be brought back to Missouri, citing security concerns.

He will be jailed here without bond.
