COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police arrested a man Wednesday who is accused of shooting a gun inside a Columbia apartment.

Prosecutors charged Shaune A. Price, 34, of Columbia, in late January for a shooting inside an apartment on Clinkscales Road on New Year's Eve. Police alleged Price pointed a gun at a person inside the apartment and shot into a bathroom mirror. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and shooting inside a dwelling.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on Jan. 31 with a $20,000 cash-only bond.

Jefferson City police say they arrested Price on a warrant during a call Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of Eastland Drive. A Jefferson City detective saw Price getting on a Greyhound Bus and stopped the bus at Eastland and Highway 50, according to a Jefferson City Police Department news release. Officers arrested Price and the bus went on its way to Chicago, according to the release.

Officers searched Price and found a loaded pistol and about 14 grams of marijuana, police said.

A Cole County prosecutor has charged Price with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana.

Price is in the Cole County Jail being held without bond.

Price will be arraigned on Friday.
