Man charged in downtown shooting faces resisting arrest charge
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Boone County prosecutor has charged a Columbia man connected to last weekend's shooting with resisting arrested after he ran from police.
Officers responded Sunday afternoon to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of East Broadway arrested Todd Nesbitt on felony warrants.
Court documents say police knocked on his door, commanding him to come out, but Nesbitt ignored the commands and jumped out his third-story window. Police arrested and took Nesbitt into custody.
Nesbitt was treated for his injuries at a hospital.
Nesbitt is a suspect in a deadly downtown shooting that left another suspect dead and five others injured. Nesbitt is charged with assault and armed criminal action in the shooting.
Quillian Jacobs was also a suspect in the shooting outside of Vibez lounge; Jacobs was shot and killed by responding officers.
Nesbitt is being held without bond at Boone County Jail.
Nesbitt has a confined docket hearing scheduled for Tuesday and a preliminary hearing scheduled for Dec. 13.
