Two arrested after shooting incident in Mexico

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mexico Public Safety Department arrest one man Wednesday and another man turned himself in Tuesday after a shooting incident on Sept. 18 in the 1000 block of Buchanan Street.

On Tuesday, Randy Curtis Jr., 33, turned himself in for his involvement in the shooting, according to a release. On Wednesday Kareem Phillips-Bey, 30, was arrested for his involvement and other outstanding warrants, documents say.

An Audrain County prosecutor has charged Curtis with first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm. Curtis is in the Audrain County Jail with no bond issued. Curtis had his initial court appearance on Friday.

Phillips-Bey has not been charged at the time of this story's publication.
