A Harrisburg man pleaded guilty to three felonies, including manslaughter, last week in a 2019 crash that killed a man in Columbia.

Charles Waddill pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash that caused a death and tampering with evidence.

Waddill was accused of speeding and driving drunk when he hit and killed Timothy Wilson in the 1400 block of Range Line Street on June 29, 2019, court documents said. He allegedly washed or attempted to wash blood from his vehicle in an effort to get rid of evidence.

Wilson's family settled a wrongful death lawsuit against Waddill in January 2020.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 29.
