Shots-fired call on Demaret Drive turns up no evidence of damage, injuries
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Boone County deputies didn't find any evidence of property damage or injuries after a shots-fired call Tuesday on Demaret Drive.
Deputies were called to the 700 block of Demaret, just east of Columbia, at about 6:40 p.m. on reports of a large crowd gathering and shots being fired, the Boone County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Deputies found a group gathered on Demaret but the group did not provide information to investigators, according to the release.
Other witnesses told deputies that two large groups were involved in a "disturbance" on Demaret and someone in a vehicle might have fired at a home, the sheriff's office said. Deputies were unable to get more information from witnesses and had no reports of injuries or property damage, according to the release.
