COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police are asking for the public's help to find an attempted robber.

Officers were called a little after 8 a.m. to the Walmart Supercenter at 415 Conley Road. Witnesses told investigators the robber demanded property from an employee, according to a Columbia Police Department news release. Police say they don't think the robber was armed. He didn't get away with any property, police said.

CPD described the robber as a heavy-set man in his mid-30s to 40s, about 6 feet tall and clean-shaven. He was wearing a black jacket, black shorts with red on the bottom and black shoes and was last seen standing near the Walmart pharmacy doors, police said.
