Patrol cancels Amber Alert for southwest Missouri newborn

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol canceled the alert around 8:30 p.m. after the child was found safe.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a Laclede County newborn.

The patrol said a man named Mike and another man were supposed to take the Lebanon girl to a hospital for post-natal care Tuesday afternoon but never showed up.

The men were driving a blue Jeep Wrangler with a black soft top, according to the alert.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Laclede County Sheriff's Office at 417-532-2311 or 911.

No other details were immediately available.
