Columbia police investigate early morning robbery report

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday near Stephens Lake Park in Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department said the victim reported begin robbed of his wallet in the 1800 block of East Broadway at about 2:20 a.m.

Police described the robber as about 6 feet tall with a thin build and a beard but no mustache. He was wearing a gray Mizzou shirt and jeans, police say. He was last seen running north toward Walnut and Ann streets.

CPD said the investigation continues and no other details could be provided.
