Jefferson City police say a pizza delivery man was robbed just before midnight Monday.

The police department said in a news release that officers received a report of a robbery involving a gun in the 600 block of Michigan Street around 11:24 p.m.

Officers say the delivery man called the police department and said a person pulled their vehicle in front of him and blocked him from leaving the area. According to the release, the robber approached the pizza delivery vehicle, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The man handed over cash and the robber left, police say. The police department said officers searched the area but weren't able to find the robber’s vehicle.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.
