COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department said Wednesday that officers are looking for a person tied to a weekend burglary.

The police department posted on Facebook that multiple tools were taken Sunday from a building that is under construction.

According to the post, a person in a red Ford truck is suspected of entering the home and stealing the tools. Police say nobody lives inside the building.

Police said a video from a neighboring residence showed the person get out of the truck and go up to the front door, then move around to the back of the house. Officers said the video doesn't show the person break into the building.

The police didn't provide a picture of the person accused of taking the tools.

Police ask anyone with information to call the department at 573-874-7652 or CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS.
