WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Court documents for four men charged with assault and robbery in connection with a Waynesville shooting Tuesday say the victim was shot during a home invasion.

The probable cause statements say Trevon Isaac, Jysyry Stewart, Lavanta Gordon and Justin Young showed up to the shooting victim's house on Skyview Drive around 5 p.m.

According to the documents, a blue car pulled into the field behind the victim's apartment building and three of the men accused in the shooting got out. Witnesses told police one man stayed inside the car and moved to the front of the residence. The witnesses alleged the person kept the car running while the other three men were inside.

The court documents say the shooting victim recognized one of the men.

According to the documents, one of the men pulled a gun on the shooting victim after using the bathroom and then demanded the man's possessions. The victim told deputies that he refused and tried to run out of the residence.

Deputies say one of the men fired. The victim was flown to a hospital with a single bullet wound to the chest, according to the probable cause statements.

Court documents say the assailants then drove from the scene. Deputies say the car was pulled over minutes after the shooting and a gun and bullets were found inside.

Deputies said the victim was shot with a .45-caliber bullet. According to the probable cause statements, a 9 mm handgun was found inside the car. The court documents say deputies weren't able to find the gun that shot the .45-caliber round.

Online court records show the bonds for the four men accused in the shooting were set at $500,000 each.
