Kansas City man arrested after shooting death in Johnson County

HOLDEN, Mo. (KMIZ)
Johnson County authorities charged a Kansas City, Kansas man with murder after a deadly weekend shooting.
Sheriff Scott Munsterman issued a statement Sunday night describing the incident on Saturday.
Jason Jones, 39, was formally accused of shooting Robert Horton, 41, in Holden. Jones is charged with 13 different crimes including first-degree murder.

Witnesses in the 700 block of S. Market Street told officers and deputies they heard gunshots then saw an armed man leave the scene in a car Saturday afternoon.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper later arrested Jones during a traffic stop, according to Munsterman.
Munsterman issued an initial statement earlier on Sunday. He said that teamwork among officers, deputies and troopers preceded Jones' arrest.
"This is a great example of how teamwork throughout agencies is an essential tool when investigating crimes of this nature and capturing those responsible," Munsterman said in an online statement.
