MONDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports nearly a third in the county have first vaccination dose
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services is reporting 19 new COVID-19 cases.
There are currently 62 active cases in the county.
The county now has a reported total number of COVID-19 cases of 17,951.
The county has reported the total number of cases removed from isolation is 17,804.
The county is reporting three Boone County residents are in local hospitals due to coronavirus.
The State of Missouri coronavirus vaccine dashboard is reporting that 59,128 residents have received their first dose in Boone County.
The county has the largest percentage of people in Mid-Missouri that have received at least one dose of the vaccine with 32.8%.
Cole County has the second-highest first vaccination rate in Mid-Missouri with 28.4%. Saline County is third with 28%.

MU Health Care reports they have additional slots for today's COVID-19 vaccination event at Faurot Field.
The organization reports over 50 openings today beginning at 5:30 p.m. and goes through 6:30 p.m.

Columbia/Boone County health department to host vaccine clinic for bar, restaurant workers
The Columbia/Boone County health department will host a coronavirus vaccine clinic for bar and restaurant workers on Friday.
A release from the health department sent out Monday afternoon said the vaccine clinic will be held at the Blue Note concert venue at 17 N. Ninth Street in downtown Columbia from 1-5 p.m.
The health department said 250 appointments are available for the event. Workers interested can sign up for the clinic on the health department website.
More opportunities for vaccinations will be available if workers aren't able to attend or sign up, the release said.
All appointees must live or work in Boone County and be employed in the restaurant, bar or entertainment industries.
Moderna's coronavirus vaccine will be given out at the clinic.
The health department has held multiple outreach clinics for various groups in Boone County since vaccines became available.
Also on Friday, Missouri moves into Phase 3 of the state vaccination plan. The new phase will allow every state resident to receive a coronavirus vaccine.
