VIDEO: MU Health Care Dr. talks about new data that pushes Missouri peak COVID-19 cases into April

COLUMBIA, Mo. - KMIZ

MU Health Care's Dr. Mark Wakefield joined ABC 17's Zara Barker for a live interview on ABC 17 News This Morning to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Wakefield discussed the current availability of personal protective equipment for staff at MU Health Care and how to take care of your own masks, according to new guidelines from the CDC.

He talked about the new timeline that shows Missouri's peak COVID-19 cases will now peak in mid-April, instead of mid-May.

Wakefield said the primary reason for the major swing in data is due to the stay-at-home order that went into effect Monday.
