Fire at Providence Road McDonald’s leads to road closure

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of South Providence Road in Columbia was shut down on Tuesday after a fire was reported at the new McDonald’s.

The road was shut down between and Elm and Locust streets as first responders worked the area. Smoke was seen coming from the roof of the building when ABC 17 News arrived at 4:14 p.m.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw 10 firetrucks on the scene and at least three ladders were placed next to the building. Four firefighters were on the roof when ABC 17 News first arrived.
