Police: Man has ‘very minor injury’ after gun in his pocket goes off at Columbia gas station

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police say a man had "very minor injuries" after a gun in his pocket was discharged on Friday night at a north Columbia gas station.
Columbia Police Department Lt. Derek Moore said the man had a gun in his pocket that accidentally went off while he was at the I-70 Eagle Stop Gas Station on North Providence Road.
A bullet “grazed” the man’s knee and injuries were “very minor,” Moore said. The man was then detained for an outstanding warrant.
The man’s identity was not revealed by police. Officers were still looking for the gun when ABC 17 News was on the scene.
Six CPD vehicles were at the scene at 7:43 p.m.
