COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Another round of winter weather is hitting Mid-Missouri on Thursday night and the Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler map is showing several roads in Columbia are covered in snow.

Most main roads in and around the city were covered shortly before 10 p.m., including portions of Interstate 70, Business Loop 70, Stadium Boulevard, Providence Road, College Avenue and Route B.

Highway 63 was covered through Jefferson City.

A number of area schools have announced delays or closures for Friday. A two-hour delayed start was announced for Columbia Public Schools.

The ABC 17 News Stormtrack Weather Team had declared a Weather Alert Day through Friday.
