Sidewalk, parking space closures announced in Downtown Columbia for holiday light installations

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of a sidewalk and metered parking spaces in Downtown Columbia will be closed Thursday as holiday lights will be installed on Central Bank, according to a Monday press release from the city.

According to the release, the south side of East Broadway between Eighth and Seventh streets, a portion of the sidewalk and parking lane will be closed. The west side of South Eighth Street between East Broadway and Cherry Street, a portion of the side walk and the parking lane will also be closed.

The closure is expected to last from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., weather permitting, the release says.

Sidewalk closure signs will be posted and “no parking” meter hoods will be placed on impacted meters 24 hours before the closure begins, the release says.
