COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A power outage that impacted 2,173 Columbia Water and Light customers was caused by a truck.

The outage occurred after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews were able to turn that back on relatively quickly, and the outage is now isolated,” Columbia Utilities spokesman Matt Nestor told ABC 17 News in an email. “Crews are working to remove the broken pole and get a new pole installed. The work is expected to take about 2 hours.”
