Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe announces reelection bid
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe announced in a Monday social media post that she intends to seek reelection.
Buffaloe wrote that she will gather signatures -- at an event at Logboat Brewery on Monday afternoon -- in order to appear on the ballot in April.
Buffaloe beat out several candidates in the mayoral race in 2022. Buffaloe won with 8,529 votes, Randy Minchew took second place with 7,729 votes, David Seamon had 2,930 and Tanya Heath – who announced her intent run in the April election last week – finished in fourth with 553 votes.
Election packets for potential candidates can be picked up at the City Clerk’s Office. The packet includes the petition form and other documents that will need to be completed as part of the filing process, according to the city’s website.
The April election will also include the Wards 3 and 4 council seats.
