Biscuits, Beats and Brews festival will take place at a new venue this year.

According to a Wednesday Facebook post, Ozark Mountain Biscuit & Bar is partnering with Cooper's Landing Riverside Resort and Marina for the fourth annual festival.

Previously held at Welbern Park in Rocheport for the past three years, this will be the first year the festival will be held at Cooper's Landing.

The Biscuits, Beats and Brews is a free, three-day music celebration scheduled on Oct. 4-6. Last year, Biscuits, Beats and Brews rescheduled its festival last year to unofficially fill the spot left empty after Treeline Music Festival was canceled.

Biscuits Beats and Brews event director Colin LaVaute said the partnership made sense. The owner of Cooper's Landing, Richard King, was also the creator of Columbia's Roots N Blues Festival, which later became Treeline Music Festival with different owners.

LaVaute hopes to utilize the campground space for the event, planning to host food trucks, local vendors and two stages.

"For the first time ever in Biscuits Beats and Brews, we're going to have two stages, so it's going to be nonstop music for the entire weekend," LaVaute said.

Cooper's Landing bartender and sound mixer Forrest Wilson said the venue is great for music.

"You can't really beat this view," Wilson said. "Then also, we have done a lot of work to upgrade the sound system and everything, so a touring band, like a big full band could come here and play a show."

A common concern for both Biscuits Beats and Brews and Cooper's Landing, is the status of parking and the plans for poor weather. Recently, Cooper's Landing was forced to cancel its Independence Day events because of weather conditions and flooding.

"The one thing I will say that I think is very important to get out there right now is that we are hyper focused on the parking situation," LaVaute said. "The only thing I can say at this stage is trust the process."

The event's Facebook page lists several performers, including The Spooklights, Molly Healey String Project, Steve Ewing (of The Urge), Decadent Nation, Western States, Travis Feutz and the Stardust Cowboys, Austin Kolb Band, Bobby Showers Band, LaVa Girls Concannon and Monsterya.
