COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of Business Loop 70 in Columbia will close for two days next week as crews remove out-of-use railroad tracks near the power plant, according to a Monday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The City of Columbia is partnering with MoDOT on the project, the release says. Traffic will be closed between Edison Street and Bowling Street from 6 a.m. Tuesday, July-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.

The release says that crews will place concrete pavement in that area and that Business Loop 70 in that area will be resurfaced later this year.
