Sidewalk closures announced for repairs at two East Walnut intersections

Sidewalk closures were announced for two intersections on East Walnut Street in Columbia, a Friday press release from the city states.

Curb ramp repair will occur at the intersections with Seventh and Tenth streets, the release says. The closures begin Monday and is expected to last through 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, the release says.

Signs and barricades will be posted. The closure “is part of a larger initiative to repair sidewalk curb ramps at 16 downtown intersections through June,” the release says. Work was underway near the Post Office earlier this week.
