A Columbia man was accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items, including three guns, while helping a woman move in October.

Christian Maxwell Gee was charged with stealing more than $750 and three counts of stealing a gun. He was not listed on the Boone County Jail roster on Wednesday afternoon. A warrant was ordered on Wednesday and a $20,000 bond was set. A court date was not scheduled.

According to the probable cause statement, Gee allegedly helped the victim load several plastic totes at Columbia Storage Mart into the back of Gee’s vehicle. Gee allegedly was following the victim to their new home, but stopped and allegedly told the victim he went to use a bathroom, the statement says.

Gee didn’t show up to the residence and the victim allegedly told law enforcement that Gee also stopped responding to calls. The victim stated about $3,283.98 worth of items were taken, the statement says.
