No one hurt when shots fired in northeast Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: Police arrested Carra Brooks, 27, on suspicion of illegal gun use, first-degree domestic assault, first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Police were called to the residence on a report that Brooks had shot a gun.

She was booked into the Boone County Jail.

ORIGINAL: A number of Columbia police officers were seen Monday night in the 3600 block of Brown Station Road.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least 12 police vehicles on the scene before 9 p.m. and eight were left by 9:10 p.m. along with a crime scene investigation van. The van and the last officer on the scene left at 9:54 p.m. Crime scene tape was put up at 9:13 p.m. and was taken down at 10:25 p.m. An ambulance was temporarily seen in the area, but the ABC 17 News reporter did not see anyone go into the ambulance.

Police were seen questioning someone in a car earlier. A Columbia Police Department spokesperson said one person is in custody and no injuries were reported. The spokesperson did not say what the person in custody is accused of, but did say there is no threat to the public.

Brown Station Road was blocked off, but police are allowing traffic through the area.
