Red Weir Athletic Supplies closing on Dec. 23
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A long-time Columbia sporting goods store is closing its doors this month after more than 60 years in business.
According to this sign on the store's door, Red Weir Athletic Supplies will officially close on Dec. 23 and is no longer taking any new orders.
A sign in a window reads:
“WE ARE RETIRING! Thank you for your patronage over the last 63 years! Last day is December 23, 2023. We will not be taking an NEW orders as of December 1, 2023. Any orders in house at this time will be processed and delivered before December 23rd or we will be in contact with you.”
The store was founded in 1961, according to the company's website, and is located in the Crossroads Shopping Center on West Broadway Street.
