Tiger Towing prepares for calls during MU football game on Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

On Saturday, the University of Missouri football team will face off against LSU; and while the Tigers are gearing up for the game, so is Tiger Towing.

Tiger Towing has been contracted by the University of Missouri to tow cars that are parked illegally.

"We'll be busy throughout the entire day between that release and cars and typical calls," tow truck driver Shawn Yung said. "Because we don't stop running just because of the football game."

Yung told ABC 17 News that the company has already cleared out its lot in preparation of the busy weekend.

"We cleared the lot as much as we can," Yung said. "We typically go for absolutely no cars out there because when we're done, that lot will be full. Then we try to give the drivers as much rest as we can. Obviously it doesn't always work that way, but we try to."

It will cost drivers $100 to get there car back. Those who get their car towed will need to bring a driver's license, proof of ownership and a way to pay to get the vehicle back.

According to the University at certain times of the year, Game Day parking provisions do go in to affect to make room for additional parking. Towing companies will get calls to areas about vehicles that are parked illegally and need to be moved.

The provisions go into affect from starting at 5 p.m. Friday. Students in certain parking lots have until 11:59 p.m. Friday to move their vehicle to their temporary parking structure and are required to move their cars back between midnight Sunday and 6:59 a.m. Monday.

Yung said students should receive an emailing reminding them to move their cars before the game.
