Crews to fix traffic signal near Columbia Library on Monday

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews are planning to repair a traffic signal in central Columbia on Monday.

The signal at the intersection of East Broadway and Garth Avenue has been treated as a four-way stop since Aug. 4.

John Ogan, a spokesman for Columbia Public Works, said that a crash had damaged one of the signals. The city was waiting for a part needed to fix the signal to make repairs.

City officials announced Friday in a Facebook post that the work is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Monday.

"We recognize the urgency of this issue and want to assure you that safety is our top priority. We appreciate the patience of our residents throughout the signal outage and necessary repairs," the post said.
