COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

LiUNA Local 955 members at Wildcat Materials, Inc. announced in a Thursday press release their strike is over after ratifying their new contract.

The union announced the strike in April 16 press release.

Workers approved the new contract Thursday morning and returned to work, the release stated.

The contract includes the following wage raises:

  • Year 1: 10% raise (2023)
  • Year 2: 3% raise (2024)
  • Year 3: 3:% raise (2025)

LiUNA Local 955 is a union in Mid-Missouri that represents workers at the City of Centralia, City of Columbia, Boone County Road & Bridge, University of Missouri-Columbia, University of Missouri-Kansas City, MU Health Care, Truman State University, City of Kirksville & MFA Feed Mills in Mexico and Kirksville, and Wildcat Materials.

Wildcat is a supplier for residential and commercial construction products and tools; including drywall, steel framing, acoustical tile and insulation.
