Columbia police investigate deadly pedestrian crash on Clark Lane

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A car hit and killed a pedestrian on Clark Lane Wednesday night, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Police said the crash happened in the 3200 block of Clark Lane around 7:15 p.m. The eastbound lane was closed while police investigated. Crews reopened the lane around 8:15 p.m.

Police also put crime scene tape up around the KFC. Officers removed the tape around 8:25 p.m.

Officers have not released the name of the man killed because they are still working to notify his family.

Police said they are still working to figure out exactly what happened. Officers said they have spoken to the driver.
