Car catches fire in northeast Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Firefighters responded to a burning car near the Highway 63 Connector in Columbia on Tuesday night.

The fire started around 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Lambeth Drive.

The woman who owns the car said white smoke started coming from the car while she was driving on Clark Lane. She pulled into the driveway and the car quickly became engulfed in flames. The owner did not believe anyone was injured.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames in several minutes.

Along with the Columbia Fire Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was also at the scene.
