Columbia Job Center to host special health care hiring event

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Job Center is set to host a special health care hiring event from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release.

The event is part of the job center's Walk-In Wednesdays, and 10 area employers are expected to attend.

Employers attending include:

  • Cornerstones of Care
  • Fulton State Hospital
  • Jefferson City Medical Group
  • JMS Senior Living
  • Lutheran Senior Services
  • Marcis & Associates, Missouri Veterans Home
  • Sinclair Research Center
  • UCP Heartland
  • University of Missouri Health Care

“The healthcare industry has been hit hard during this pandemic,” said Central Region Communications Director Sundi Jo Graham. ”We want to do everything we can to help employers find new team members, and offering on-site interviews is a great way to create that personal connection between employers and job seekers.”

The health care hiring event comes as the most recent State Profile Report showed 25% of Missouri hospitals are reporting staffing shortages.
