Dozens of Water and Light customers near Business Loop 70 under boil advisory

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Water and Light said dozens of customers who live near Business Loop 70 East are under a boil advisory Monday morning.

A tweet from the utility provider said 54 customers on Lakeview Avenue were affected by a water main break around 10:45 a.m.

Crews will leave health information on the advisory at affected homes, the tweet said.

Residents under the precautionary boil order are asked to boil water for at least 3 minutes before using it for cooking or drinking and not to eat ice for an automated ice maker.

The announcement did not say how long the boil advisory was expected to last.
