Columbia police respond to disturbance with a gun on Clinkscales

ABC 17 News

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers responded to a disturbance with a gun in the 100 block of Clinkscales Road Sunday night.

An email sent out Monday morning by the police department said officers were called in to assist firefighters after a dispute between neighbors allegedly resulted in one person pulling out a gun.

An ABC 17 News crew said multiple police vehicles and Boone County Sheriff's Department vehicles were responded to the scene.

The release said officers blocked off Clinkscales between Broadway and Ash Street.

Officers were unable to confirm if a firearm was pulled out during the dispute, according to police.

The release said police will continue to investigate the disturbance.

It's unclear if any arrests were made and why the fire department was originally called to the residence.
