Tolton hires new president
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Father Tolton Catholic High School said Tuesday it hired a president who is expected to start July 1.
The release said Daniel Everett from Orange County, California was selected as the new leader of the school.
According to the announcement, Everett held administrative roles at two Catholic high schools in California. Most recently Everett was the interim head of school at St. Ann School in Laguna Niguel, California.
It included Everett has taught a variety of subjects in southern California.
“Among other expertise, he has experience in curriculum development, moving a school into a digital-centric mode, strengthening Catholic identity and overseeing a Catholic school serving a diverse and rapidly evolving community," Bishop Shawn McKnight said.
Tolton worked with search firm Partners in Mission to hire Everett. The search committee included administrators from Tolton and Our Lady of Lourdes.
Former Tolton president Doug Callahan was fired last year less than two months after accepting the position. Jill McIntosh has served recently as the interim president at Tolton.
