Power returns for more than a thousand Ameren customers

COLE COUNTY (KMIZ)

Power was restored to Ameren customers in Mid-Missouri after an outage Thursday night.

Around 8:45 p.m., the outage map showed 1,199 customers without power in Cole County near Russellville.

At 9:20 p.m. an Ameren spokesperson said the outage was caused by an equipment issue. Officials expected the power to be restored around 9:30 p.m.

As of 10:30 p.m., no outages were reported near Russellville.
