A Mendon man is arrested earlier this week after a 10-year-old child was allegedly injured in his care.
According to court records, Buck Moffitt is charged with two counts of armed criminal action, endangering the welfare of a child and abuse or neglect of a child after an incident on Oct. 10.
According to a Chariton County probable cause statement, a 10-year-old child was allegedly injured in the care of Moffitt after an ATV crash. The child suffered a sprained hip according to medical professionals in Kansas City according to court documents.
During an interview with the 10-year-old child, the child stated Moffitt's action scared him while Moffitt drove to the store and overtook a slower moving vehicle.
