Fire causes evacuation of Callaway County extended-stay hotel
KINGDOM CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A fire that started in a room of the Amerihost Inn in Kingdom City led to the building's evacuation Friday afternoon.
No one was hurt in the fire that started in a third-floor bedroom, firefighters at the scene said. The building had some smoke damage. Several fire departments, including Columbia, sent units to help.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Office said eight people who were inside the extended-stay hotel had to be evacuated from the building.
