Three people hurt in Callaway County motorcycle crashes

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two separate motorcycle crashes in Callaway County hospitalized three people Wednesday.

The first crash happened around 12 p.m. on Interstate 70 near the 139.2-mile marker.

According to a crash report, an Arkansas man and child were hurt after the motorcycle went off the interstate and hit a cable barrier.

Troopers said Richard Millsap, 50, was driving with an 11-year-old passenger. An ambulance took Millsap to University Hospital with serious injuries. The child suffered minor injuries.

Another motorcycle crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 54 near the Route AA/OO Overpass.

According to a crash report, the motorcycle had a defect and rolled on its side into a median. The motorcyclist, Robert Jones, 53, was thrown from the motorcycle.

An ambulance took Jones to the hospital with serious injuries.
