One person arrested after chase from Callaway County ends near the Katy Trail Bridge
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Multiple law agencies were involved in a chase that began in Callway County and ended near the Katy Trail Bridge after the suspect was arrested.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigated a stolen blue GMC Sierra from a local small business outside of Fulton. At 5:03 p.m., a K9 Deputy observed the stolen vehicle in a gas station parking lot in Millersburg.
When the Callaway County Sheriff's deputy attempted to pull over the truck, the suspect drove off.
Law enforcement pursued the vehicle on various streets into Boone County and onto I-70 where the vehicle exited near Rocheport and continued west on Highway 40.
When the suspect got near the Katy Trail Bridge, the suspect then ran on foot near Salt Creek where the suspect was taken into custody.
The suspect was then arrested at 5:32 p.m. by the Boone County Sheriff's Office and found to be armed with a stolen firearm, according to a release.
The driver was taken into custody and transported back to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on no bond.
