Fulton man killed while walking on Callaway County road

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person is dead after a pedestrian crash in Callaway County Saturday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, the crash happened just after 9 p.m. Saturday on County Road 133, just north of Route CC in Callaway County. Richard Smith, 67, of Fulton was walking on the road when he was hit by a pickup truck driving southbound.

Crash reports said the driver of the pickup truck couldn't see Smith because of an oncoming vehicles headlights.
