BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was injured in a crash on Highway 63 in Boone County late Thursday morning.

Gale Blomenkamp with the Boone County Fire Protection District said one person was taken to the hospital after the wreck in the southbound lanes near E. Roy Barnes Road.

According to online dispatch records, the two-vehicle crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Both southbound lanes of Highway 63 were temporarily blocked. As of 11:55 a.m., one lane remained closed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation tweeted that drivers should expect delays in the area.
