COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Moberly man was killed in a crash with a snowplow near Sturgeon.

The Troop F crash report said 59-year-old Mark Swindell was driving a pickup truck southbound on Highway 63 near Breedlove Road around 4:20 p.m.

According to the report, 25-year-old Brandon Wainman, of Centralia, was driving in the plow truck going west on Breedlove.

Troopers say the snowplow crossed over Highway 63, driving into the path of Swindell's truck. Both crashed and the pickup went off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Emergency crews blocked off the road for about three hours following the wreck.

A Boone County forensic investigator declared Swindell dead at the scene, the report said.
