BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a Boone County child assault case last week.

Christian Wynn pleaded guilty Friday to three counts of domestic assault. The court sentenced him to nine months in the Boone County Jail on each count to be served concurrently. Online court records show he will receive credit for time served.

Prosecutors initially charged Wynn with first-degree statutory rape last August.

"We amended the original charge based on new developments and updated information in the case," Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jessica Caldera said. "He pleaded guilty to domestic assault against three different child victims."

The initial charge last year came after the Children’s Division contacted the Ashland Police Department at the beginning of last July in reference to the case. According to court documents in the case, the victim told authorities that Wynn had sex with them two to three times per week for several years.
